This is a great novel, it was very well written and had a great story line. Stories about our soldiers and how they are coping with being back home are rare and they shouldn't be. It's even more difficult to find a novel with this topic that is actually good and this is just that, Lauren Layne did an exceptional job and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
A wounded Veteran, Paul, is home and isn't enjoying being forced to have someone take care of him. He keeps running them all off because he sees himself as a monster, due to his injuries. Until Olivia comes in as a replacement and she shakes up his world. Olivia teaches Paul to live again and how to accept being loved. But Olivia is hiding a secret about why she took the job and Paul is more a bit curious and willing to find out.
This was a great story with high emotions, it is beautifully done and worth reading, take a look at it and give it a chance. Sorry I don't have a lot to say about it but this novel is more of the type you have to read to understand, the emotional roller-coaster and craziness you have to read to believe, very close to real deal when it comes to a scared man dealing with a huge change in life.
