I actually really liked this book, the seriousness of it was huge and a bit daunting but it is a topic that needs to be addressed more. I will just throw it out there for you, TEEN SUICIDE!

I really liked the characters and their struggle through out, and the angle that author Amy Zhang went with this book, the POV is done extremely well and is a really new and refreshing angle to read from. I LOVED how Zhang had everyone and their feelings being expressed and how she ended every chapter with a snap shot insight into Liz's life behind her portrayed image.

I didn't like Liz at first but as the novel progressed and the layers to her were pealed back I actually started to connect with her and feel for her, although she took a more cowardly route than I would have I understood what was going on behind the scenes. Liz puts on a great front or facade for EVERYONE, but Liam sees through and he seems to be the only one, although when her closest friends Kennie and Julia look back on some of their memories they start to recognize some of the signs that something may not have been alright in Liz's world.

I felt as though there wasn't a whole lot of resolution in the end, loose ties with where things go from there, what ever becomes of the amazing Liam, and between Liz, Julia and Kennie? Does Liz's mom snap out of her depression and take time off work to repair her relationship with Liz? I wish I could these questions answered, maybe a sequel is in the works Amy Zhang? Despite the unresolved topics on my mind I feel like this was a great read, very well written and I would recommend it to my friends!
