    Okay, WOW! So, I'm having a hard time coming up with the right words to express how amazing this book was. The story line, the detail and way Sarah Brownlee is so descriptive is just, wow, out of this world! This novel was a joy to read, I was so engrossed in it that I literally lost track of everything around me, I was late to pick my kids up from school and everything! I read the whole thing in THREE hours time, if that doesn't tell you this book is amazing and worth reading, I don't know what I could say to get that message across to you!

    The characters are just amazing, with the hit and miss feelings between "friends", the utter loyalty, the fight for what's right, the shape shifting, and the villains constantly lurking, what else could you ask for?! I can not wait to see what other amazing things come from the imagination of Brownlee in the future and will be vigilantly keeping my eye out for what may come next!

    I know this isn't like my other reviews but I seriously am having a difficult time expressing the Amazingness that is this novel and the Brilliance that is Sarah Brownlee! So EVERYONE reading this right now if you like the Paranormal reads at all, READ THIS! It's just too good to pass up!

Girl on a Wire by Gwenda Bond

My Rating---> 4 of 5 STARS

Read on Nov. 5th, 2014

    This was a great debut novel by Gwenda Bond, the work, drama and family bonds behind the scenes of the circus. I loved the superstitions, lore, history, suspense and thrill in this book. It is a truly amazing novel that kept me engaged all the way through.

    I really enjoyed the characters, the way they all interacted and the way they all pretend not to believe superstitions and lore but when really confronted they are apprehensive about it. I loved the Shakespearean core to the book, the Maronis and the Garcias feuding like the Capulet and Montague families, the rivalry is amazing. Then there is the "star crossed lovers" haha, Jules and Remy, but really the only people keeping them "apart" (I use that word lightly because they don't get kept apart at all) is themselves believing everyone still holds on to the feud.

    Anyway, things keep happening and people get hurt or die and Jules and Remy are determined to get to the bottom of it all. They play Sherlock and Watson together behind everybody's backs and work out the mystery. Bond did a wonderful job, I was completely entertained throughout and I even cried a bit. I loved seeing Jules grow as a person a bit throughout the book and seeing how things progressed and concluded. This was a great debut novel for Gwenda Bond and I look forward to seeing more of her work in the future. Would I recommend this book, Yes I would. If you like YA and a bit of mystery, the circus made the perfect backdrop for a dangerous and thrilling mystery adventure!

Sweet Unrest by Lisa Maxwell

My Rating---> 4 of 5 STARS

    To be completely honest I purchased this book based purely off of the cover and title, and I am so glad I did. This turned out to be an unexpectedly great find, and I am so glad I got to read it. The mystery, romance (however sad and unorthodox it might be) and the thrill were amazing. It seemed as if this novel was a bit on the dark side for a YA, but after reading it I feel as if it wasn't really. Lisa Maxwell did a superb job writing this book and for it to be her debut novel is amazing. The language and culture in the book are amazingly well done and the characters are easy to relate to, hard to keep yourself from falling in love with and completely unforgettable.

    I don't know maybe I'm being biased because I really enjoy the New Orleans, creole, voodoo, ghosts, southern superstitions and the like, but I really feel this was a great read, but this is just my opinion. If you want to know more about this book please click on the purchase link above and read the synopsis and form your own opinion.

    I was completely immersed and enthralled with this enchanting story about voodoo and hoodoo, magic, trapped and wandering souls, good and evil, love that transcends time and goes on through multiple lifetimes, history, friendships and family. I couldn't get enough, I laughed, cried and rooted for good to defeat evil, I was on the edge of my seat wondering who was behind it all and what would happen next. Maxwell knew what she was doing with the traditional New Orleans themes of voodoo, sacrifice, possession and ghosts, and boy did she do it well, I cannot wait to find out what is in store for Lucy, so I hope there is a follow up story!

Spark by K.C. Stewart

My Rating---> 5 of 5 STARS

Read on Nov. 4th, 2014

    This was an amazing read, I loved it the action, the adventure, thrills, witty repartee, the characters, the setting. It was all amazingly well written, the plot was imaginative, the detail was fantastic and the pace of the story was great. I enjoyed this story a lot and look forward to finding out what will happen next for Hailey and her handsome dragon mate.

    The characters and the banter between them all, oh my gods it was to die for! I was laughing so hard my eyes were watering and my husband was giving me weird looks and I definitely got emotional at parts. K.C. Stewart did an incredible job, I fell in love with her writing style and can't wait to read more from her! The magic was well done, the voice in Hailey's head was exceptional, it is what initially sucked me into the story and Dek turned out to be an amazing character as well. I absolutely loved how the dragons can transform and the politics of their race, it was all just very creative and completely entertaining.

    Hailey is the most unlikely of heroines and she just surprises you again and again throughout this book. She has an amazing group that support her and help her through, though they have their own reasons and driving force they all share the same goal, to take down the evil villain, Silas! Darby a witch and Lia a Goddess and a Muse and these two amazing women are heartbroken and trying to avenge the death of their dragon mates. SERIOUSLY?!? I didn't put this book down, not once while reading it and I finished it in four hours, that is how good it is! If you enjoy a bit of magic, mystery, adventure and you like the thought of dragons still being among us you NEED to give this a read!

Dead in Bed: The Complete Novel by Bailey Simms

My Rating---> 4 of 5 STARS

Read on Nov. 3rd, 2014

    Alright here goes, this is one awesome series! I cannot wait to get my hands on the next part because this is great. I freaking loved it, it is fun exciting, suspenseful and witty. Bailey Simms is a fantastic writer with amazing creativity, she has given me a whole new type of Zombie to read about! This was an action packed zombie story that is set in a small town in the middle of nowhere, these undead are not only more human like they crave sex instead of brains and human flesh. At first I was on the fence about whether it was aliens or zombies but that question was answered in an epic way, ever wonder what it's like to be buried alive you wont wonder any more after this!

    The characters are great, Ashley being the most amazing kick butt chick. She makes some really weird and questionable choices throughout the story but during a horse back ride you find out some crucial Intel that makes it all clearly understandable. I also really like Chris's character as well, he's quirky, intelligent and has a sense of humor. But Simms did a fantastic job creating these characters, they all have very separate personalities and Simms gave them just the right amount of individuality.

    I love how you never know which character is going to die next, get infected, get caught having an inappropriate sexual encounter or just say something outrageous. There are a lot of twists and turns in the plot, tons of the unexpected, humor and suspense in abundance and definitely something uniquely new in store for you while reading this. Anyone that enjoys zombie novels needs to read this, it is a must!

The Forgotten Ones by Laura Howard

My Rating---> 3 of 5 STARS

Read on June 27th, 2013
& Nov. 3rd, 2014

    I really liked this book, the detail and creativity that went into it is fantastic and I read it all the way through in one sitting. So, I signed up to receive a copy in return for an honest review based on the description, and after receiving my copy realized that I had already purchased and read this book in June of last year. I didn't recognize the title of the book, the forgotten ones in fact got forgotten. I did however re-read it and instantly remembered how much I enjoyed it, the story line, characters and imagination are VERY unforgettable.

    Allison and her unconventional family are a lot to take in and digest, but they all love each other with a fierceness that is unmatched and the bond however small or fragile cannot be broken by anyone, even the Danaan that the world has forgotten exist. All Allison wants to do is go to college and take care of her mother, but the father that has been absent for her entire life shows up and changes everything. Then her life gets turned upside down and turned all around in this crazy adventure in Tír na n'Óg with the Danaan (Fae).

    Laura Howard did a wonderful job with this book, the imagery and creativity throughout is amazing. The story line is brilliant and I was thoroughly entertained from the very start. I wish it had been a longer read, because I felt it ended very abruptly, there were WAY too many unanswered questions. I just hope that the story continues right where it left off in the next book so I can get the whole story without a weird break. Otherwise I really enjoyed this book and an looking forward to the next one and yes I would recommend this series to anyone that likes paranormal and is looking for a new twist on the fae.

Wild Angel by Shari Copell

My Rating---> 5 of 5 STARS

Read on Nov.1st, 2014

Purchase on Amazon HERE

    Okay, WOW! I was blown away by this book, Shari Copell wrote a good book the first time around with Rock'n Tapestries but this was beyond amazing! The characters are fantastic, the story line has romance, young love, discovery of ones self, ghostly love, mystery, a bit of a scary aspect and Oh My Freaking Gods did I cry!!!! It's like a whole mess of things you wouldn't think would work together fit perfectly somehow thanks to Copell and her brilliance.

    First off I just have to say I was instantly in LOVE with Nicks, she is amazing, she had a rough go of it as a kid, ended up going through SO much shit and is honestly so freaking tough as nails that I can't even feel anything but love for this girl and envy her larger than life balls and ability to roll with the punches. Chelsea and Tage's family is full of super amazing kids (T.J. is my favorite for sure) that all love each other so incredibly much. Then there is the amazing Stone, rocker guy with a soft side, he reminded me of the perfect combination between Asher and Tage and I couldn't have loved it more.

    Secondly the freaking heartbreaking moments that made my cry like a baby, I could NEVER imagine being in the positions or situations that these poor people get put in. Nicks gets put through so much, finding out her whole life her parents have been keeping a secret from her, dealing with that alone is crazy, but add crazy groupie girls coming after her, crazy boys that can't take no for an answer and her high school principal being a crazy and creepy ass hole that is constantly on her case. That girl is made of tough stuff, but she takes the anger and harnesses it to help her get through it all.

    Lastly I tell you all, READ THIS FREAKING BOOK, it is absolutely amazing, it's a roller coaster of a read and the emotions and surprises all through out this book are like nothing I have ever read.

Rock'n Tapestries by Shari Copell

My Rating---> 3 of 5 STARS

Read on Nov. 1st, 2014

    First off, I feel that Shari Copell did a wonderful job with her characters, the emotion, detail, and story line it was all really well written. I didn't enjoy the story that much but I feel like it was just me, the relationship between Chelsea and Asher is one that I couldn't really get behind for the majority of the book. I kept thinking why is Chelsea putting herself through this and why in the name of the God's does he keep running away from his feelings?! But in the end I felt that everything worked out the way it was meant to and things get revealed and resolved in a way that fixed all my earlier doubts and resignations.

    Chelsea and Asher were fantastic, the made incredible friends and had a magnetic energy or pulling force between them that radiated with sexual tension. The two of them made me laugh and also made me sad, they reminded me that just because you love someone completely doesn't mean that you are meant to be. I felt insanely sad and at the same time kind of saw it coming when things hit their first turn in the road between them, but with that came a new beginning for Chelsea and the tall, blonde and handsome Swedish Tage. I wasn't a huge fan of how quickly things went with the two of them but in reality my "courtship" and marriage moved equally as fast and my life has a very similar story line. Maybe that is why I couldn't really get into it as much as I was hoping to, I just felt like aside from the crazy brushes with death I reading a story about my life.

    After all is said and done I really did end up liking this book, the characters are what clinched it for me, they were so real and heartbreaking that I couldn't help but love them and their story. Copell you did a wonderful job and I look forward to reading the next book in the series! Anyone reading this, if you have not yet read this book you should give it a go it is worth the read and has a sad but heartwarming ending.
